Join us for a special night, presented by DISH, that will make Denver Startup Week history! DISH co-founder Charlie Ergen and serial entrepreneur Mark Cuban discuss reinventing their businesses as they reimagine the world around them. Guided by Brad Feld, co-founder and managing director of Foundry Group, the group will share their experiences on industry disruption and using current success as collateral for shifting to an unknown future.
A little more about our headliners…
Charlie Ergen grew a homegrown Colorado startup into a Fortune 200 company, shaping an entire industry. He launched DISH satellite TV with a bet on a single Chinese rocket, and created Sling TV, the nation’s first live streaming video service. Today, Charlie is steering the company through its third transformation as a connectivity company, joining together people and things through a nationwide Internet of Things wireless network.
Mark Cuban caught the bug for entrepreneurism as a young kid. Over the years, he’s founded and invested in startups including Broadcast.com, Magnolia Pictures, Landmark Theatres and AXS TV. Additionally, you’ll see the former disco dance instructor courtside watching his Dallas Mavericks NBA team. Mark brings these talents and his direct style to ABC’s hit show “Shark Tank.”
Boulder-based Brad Feld is a national voice for Colorado’s startup community and has been an early stage investor and entrepreneur for more than two decades. Brad’s investment portfolio through the venture capital firm he co-founded, Foundry Group, includes Fitbit, Havenly and Rover.com.
