I’m Measuring Employee Engagement, Now What?

Employee engagement is more than a survey, although surveys are the start of collecting the data you need to propel your company forward. The question remaining is how do you use this data and other employee metrics to build better employee engagement and a better company? In this session, you will learn how to use data to engage employees and how to find the “right fit” for future hires.

Panel Members:Rob Dravenstott, SVP and CIO, Dish NetworkRob is responsible for DISH’s enterprise information technology strategy and operations. He leads a Denver-based team of IT professionals supporting the company’s data and core applications DISH and Sling TV. Prior to his current role, Rob served as DISH’s Vice President of Application Development and Testing, where he delivered company-wide initiatives including the rapid deployment of mobile devices to assist DISH’s nationwide network of field technicians. The DISH IT department was recognized by CIO Magazine's 25th annual CIO 100 for this accomplishment. Rob has led the company’s big data and analytics efforts, supported the implementation of DISH Media Sales’ programmatic TV advertising platform, and helped launch the Sling TV platform.  Recently, he led the implementation of a new supply chain platform and is driving the company’s agile transformation efforts to increase collaborative delivery and productivity.

Anne Rooney McCord, Vice President, Human Resources, Peak 10 + ViaWestAnne joined the ViaWest senior management team in 2007, leading the human resources and talent management strategies to support growth objectives. During her tenure at ViaWest, she was responsible for building programs and systems to build the employment brand, talent management, and acquisition integration to maximize organizational effectiveness and build a world class team. Over the next several months, Anne will be leading talent integration efforts for the Peak 10 + ViaWest merger. Anne was selected to participate in the 2018 Colorado Governers Fellow program. Inspired by the White House Fellows program and Dr. Geoff Smart’s best-selling book, Leadocracy, the Fellows Program provides a blend of education, experience and exposure to engage our state’s best and brightest leaders in an 8-month program aimed to inspire them to make a difference through public service.

Noël Mink, Manager of Human Resources Operations, City of AuroraNoel is a Colorado native and Aurora is her hometown where she has worked for the city for over 11 years. Noel began her Aurora career in the 911 dispatch center where she was responsible for hiring, on-boarding, employee development and employee relations. In 2012 Noel was promoted to the Human Resources division as the Employment and Compensation Administrator and became responsible for compensation, employment, supervisor education, on-boarding and performance management. Noel’s desire to serve Aurora citizens and employees in a more strategic way culminated with her promotion to Manager of Human Resources Operations. Falling under her purview is employment, compensation, benefits, wellness, employee relations and training. Currently Noel is serving as the interim Human Resources Director.

Craig Smith, President and COO, HomeAdvisorAs a fourth-generation Coloradan, Craig Smith was raised with a deep appreciation for his home state and a desire to help its citizens prosper. True to the spirit of the West, Smith’s persistence and work ethic earned him a prestigious fellowship at El Pomar Foundation, a job that laid the foundation for his rise to President & COO of HomeAdvisor by age 32. One year later, Smith was named a Colorado Biz “CEO of the Year” finalist and helped earn the company top honors as Denver Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” and CTA Technology “Company of the Year.” As one of HomeAdvisor’s early executives, Smith was instrumental in building HomeAdvisor from an idea to Colorado’s largest consumer Internet brand. Today, Smith still serves as President & COO of HomeAdvisor, responsible for leading more than 2,000 employees, including various subsidiary businesses. Craig also serves on the board of Liberty Capital Partners - a boutique merchant banking firm providing wealth management services, private equity opportunities, and corporate advisory services to our principals and clients. In true pioneer fashion, he has helped launch and guide several new start-ups in Denver.
